David Cooper is the founder and president of Arbor Plant Health Care with nearly 20 years of experience in the field.

Growing up in rural Newfoundland, David found himself involved in the forestry industry. He loved working with trees but could see the future wasn’t bright for forestry in rural Newfoundland. He decided to attend the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in 1999. He graduated from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Landscape Horticulture. In 2005 David wrote and passed his International Society of Arboriculture’s exam to become a certified arborist.

During his time in the industry, he has worked for both small and large tree care firms and has traveled throughout Canada and the United States. David has done work for well known and respected companies within the tree care industry such as Hartney Greymont, The Care of Trees, Davey Tree, and Asplundh.

David is a passionate small business owner who can be found most days on a job-site or doing something to further the business.

In his free time, you can find David enjoying time with his family, playing hockey, skiing, snowmobiling, riding motorcycle, and fishing.
